Question: What are the best ways to move an elected official?

Number indicates votes received, with similar tactics grouped together.

If there is no number, then it's one (1) vote.

Responses from Participants at the Fly-in:

Generating direct calls from organizational grasstop leaders (14) including
major contributors and friends of the elected official (3), as well as
identifying key opinion movers (2) and having all of these people connect
specific policy demands to future support (6).

Personalizing and framing trade in terms of the elected primary policy and
political concerns (11) after researching and indentifying specific
interests (2) and after listening to them before responding (2). We also
need to connect trade with the other primary issue items they work on, like
environment or food safety (2).

Befriend the Trade LAs (10) and create good relationships with offices (5).

(9), and humanize the district losses from trade using the stories project
(5).

Generate a high volume of constituent calls (7), constituent hand written
letters (2), and constituent meetings with the elected official (5).

Publishing op-eds & LTEs, identifying the member by name in local newspapers
(7), and contrasting trade record with opponent in an unfavorable light
right before election (2). Generate media favorable stories about trade,
