National Briefing Call on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)

Friday, April 13 * 1:00pm Eastern / Noon Central / 11:00am
Mountain / 10:00am Pacific
RSVP here for the call-in number

The Trans-Pacific Partnership Free Trade Agreement is rapidly coming
to a head, with a make-or-break twelfth round of negotiations taking
place in Dallas this May. Approximately 600 corporate lobbyists have
special "cleared advisor" status that gives them regular access to the
negotiating documents and negotiators. Meanwhile, the general public
has been barred from reviewing what U.S. negotiators are proposing in
our names.

Just because the TPP is being negotiated behind-closed-doors does not
mean that we don't know what lobbyists are pushing for and what we
need to do in order to derail their anti-worker, anti-environment and
anti-democractic agenda. Please join the following experts for a
national briefing via conference call:

Lori Wallach, Director, Public Citizen's Global Trade Watch
Brett Gibson, Trade Policy Specialist, AFL-CIO
Ilana Solomon, Trade Representative, Sierra Club
Bob Cash, Director, Texas Fair Trade Coalition

You'll learn the latest about the TPP and how you can plug into the
national campaign to defeat it. To receive the call-in number, please
RSVP online at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGdYQlhNbkFqZ2hxZEVzZURpSk50d3c6MQ
#gid=0

(If you can't make the call, please be sure to sign the petition that
will be delivered to trade negotiators in Dallas.)
