Tillerson to talk trade with Peña Nieto in Mexico City this week

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson heads to Mexico this week, and trade is on the agenda.

The State Department on Tuesday confirmed the dates <https://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2017/02/267735.htm> for Tillerson's trip to Mexico City -- Feb. 22-23. He'll meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and the ministers of interior, foreign relations, finance, defense and navy.

“The group will discuss border security, law enforcement cooperation, and trade, among other issues,” the announcement reads.

Tillerson will be joined by Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.

Peña Nieto last month canceled a planned visit to the White House to meet with President Trump after Trump's comments about making Mexico pay for a border wall.
