As we head into 2024, we’re likely to hear a lot of divisive rhetoric about
trade —much of which will try to pit working people in the U.S. against
workers in other countries.

Please join the Trade Justice Education Fund and our guests for a
discussion of the realities of how corporate-driven trade agreements hurt
working people everywhere, and the importance of promoting fair trade
policy alternatives that are rooted in cross-border worker solidarity
rather than hate.

Our speakers include:


   - Elena Lopez of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) on
   cross-border worker solidarity in the face of job offshoring
   - Vicki Gass of Latin America Working Group on how unfair trade deals
   contribute to forced migration
   - Will Jamil Wiltschko of the California Trade Justice Coalition on how
   anti-Asian rhetoric has led to increased hate crimes
   - Hillary Haden of Trade Justice on trade principles that advance labor
   & environmental justice


Remember, just because a trade deal helps increase the power and profits of
U.S.-based corporations doesn’t automatically make it good for our
communities!  We need policies that create new jobs and improve wages by
leveling the playing field and protecting everyone’s basic rights.
