The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is an upcoming major multilateral trade
agreement. President Bush announced we would enter negotiations to join in
2008, and President Obama echoed this message in December of 2009. Current
TPP members are meeting this week in Australia to discuss expanding
membership to four other nations -- Australia, Peru, Vietnam and the United
States.

Will the TPP become NAFTA-lite for the Pacific Rim, or will it embody
President Obama's promise of trade reform articulated in 2008?
