President Bush announced we would enter negotiations to join the
Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in 2008, and President Obama echoed this
message in December of 2009.  TPP members are meeting right now in Australia
to discuss expanding membership to Australia, Peru, Vietnam and the United
States.

 

Will the TPP become NAFTA-lite for the Pacific Rim, or will it reflect
President Obama's vision of trade reform articulated in 2008?
